EasyJet Expands Winter 2026 Programme with New Routes to Lapland, Egypt, Iceland and Europe

Travellers across the UK will have even more options for winter escapes after easyJet announced 13 new routes from eight UK airports as part of its expanded Winter 2026 schedule.

The new services will connect passengers with some of the season’s most sought-after destinations, including Finnish Lapland, Egypt, Iceland and a range of popular European city breaks. Most routes will also be available through easyJet holidays, offering package deals that combine flights and accommodation.

New Flights from London Luton and Southend

London Luton Airport will welcome two new routes this winter. From 24 November, passengers can fly to Kittilä in Finland twice a week on Tuesdays and Saturdays, opening up access to the snowy landscapes and ski resorts of Finnish Lapland. A four-times-weekly service to Strasbourg in France will follow from 29 November.

Meanwhile, London Southend Airport will gain a new domestic connection to Edinburgh, with twice-weekly flights beginning on 25 October.

Birmingham Adds Copenhagen and Historic Cairo

Passengers travelling from Birmingham Airport will benefit from a new route to Copenhagen from 16 November, operating every Monday and Friday.

The airport will also become the launch point for easyJet’s new service to Cairo’s Sphinx International Airport. Starting on 9 November, the twice-weekly flights will make easyJet the first airline to offer direct services to the airport, providing convenient access to the Pyramids of Giza and some of Egypt’s most iconic attractions.

Liverpool Launches New Nordic Connections

Liverpool John Lennon Airport is set to expand its winter offering with two new routes to northern Europe.

Flights to Reykjavik, Iceland, will commence on 2 November and operate every Monday and Friday, while services to Kittilä in Finnish Lapland will begin on 25 November with departures every Wednesday and Saturday.

Newcastle Continues Rapid Growth

easyJet is adding five new destinations from Newcastle Airport, increasing its network to 31 routes. The expansion follows the opening of the airline’s new base at Newcastle earlier this year, which has helped quadruple its operations from the airport.

Among the new additions are:

Barcelona – flights every Friday and Sunday from 25 October.

Hurghada, Egypt – Tuesday and Saturday departures from 27 October.

Copenhagen – services on Thursdays and Sundays from 5 November.

Berlin – flights every Monday and Friday from 20 November.

Rovaniemi, Finland – departures on Wednesdays and Sundays from 25 November.

Rovaniemi, widely recognised as the capital of Finnish Lapland and the official hometown of Santa Claus, is expected to be one of the standout destinations for families seeking festive breaks.

Newquay Gains Its First International easyJet Route

In another milestone, easyJet will launch its first international route from Cornwall Airport Newquay.

A seasonal service to Geneva will operate every Saturday between 16 January and 27 February 2027, offering convenient access to the Swiss Alps during the peak ski season.

easyJet Holidays Packages Available

Holiday packages through easyJet holidays will be available on all of the newly announced routes, with the exception of Kittilä and Rovaniemi. Travellers booking holidays to Cairo and Hurghada will also benefit from included airport transfers.
